Ingredients
Serves 6- 3-4 cups sliced fresh peaches, canned and drained peaches, or frozen (thawed and drained) peaches
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup milk
- For serving: vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, (melted)
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 ¼ cups Bisquick ((or other all-purpose baking mix))
Open in Supper to scale servings and turn this into a grocery list.
Steps
- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet or another 2-quart baking dish (such as an 11 x 7-inch pan) with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange the sliced peaches in the prepared dish.
- Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the Bisquick, sugar, milk, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg until combined.
- Step 3
Pour the batter over the peaches.
- Step 4
Bake, uncovered, for about 1 hour (or until golden brown and set). The cobbler is done when the topping is totally set (like a cake), it isn't jiggly in the middle, and you can’t see any batter bubbling. If the top of the cobbler starts to get too dark, cover loosely with foil until it's cooked through.
- Step 5
Serve the cobbler warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
