Ingredients
Serves 4- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (finely chopped, to garnish)
- 5 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1½ pounds top sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch pieces)
- 4 tablespoons salted butter
- salt and black pepper (to season)
Open in Supper to scale servings and turn this into a grocery list.
Steps
- Step 1
Pat the steak dry with paper towels, then cut it into bite-size pieces. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
- Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large cast-iron or stainless steel skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the steak in a single layer, working in batches if needed.
- Step 3
Sear the steak for about 2 minutes without moving it, then stir and cook for 1 to 2 minutes more, until browned on all sides and cooked to your liking. Transfer to a plate.
- Step 4
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute, stirring often, until fragrant.
- Step 5
Return the steak bites to the pan and toss well to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
- Step 6
Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
