
Oven Baked Korean BBQ Beef Ribs

Ingredients
Serves 4- 1 onion ((180 g / 6.3 ounces))
- 1 red apple (or asian pear (230 g / 8.1 ounces), cored)
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 2 kg beef back ribs (, membrane removed)
- 3/4 cup soy sauce (, regular (I use Kikkoman brand))
- 1/4 cup rice wine ((mirin))
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 6 Tbsp brown sugar

Steps
- Step 1
Blend all the marinade ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth, then set aside.
- Step 2
Pour the marinade over the meat, making sure it coats all sides evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours—ideally 24 hours for the best flavor and tenderness.
- Step 3
Preheat the oven to 100°C (212°F) for 20 minutes. Line a baking sheet or roasting pan with baking paper or aluminum foil, then place the marinated rack of ribs on top. Spoon a little of the marinade around the ribs, but discard the rest. Cook for 8 hours.
- Step 4
Remove the meat from the oven, carve into pieces, and serve.
