
Turkey Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Ingredients
Serves 12- ¼ teaspoon white pepper
- 12 baby gem lettuce leaves (washed and dried)
- 2 cloves garlic (peeled and minced)
- 6 spring onions (scallions, finely sliced)
- 500 g (1.1lbs) minced (ground) turkey ((I use 7% fat))
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 red chilli (thinly sliced)
- ½ teaspoon chilli flakes
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- Sweet chilli sauce or sriracha to taste
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Steps
- Step 1
Heat the oil in a frying pan (skillet) over a high heat.
- Step 2
Add the minced turkey and fry for 5 minutes, breaking up any large pieces as you go, until lightly browned.
- Step 3
Add the garlic and chilli and fry for another 2 minutes.
- Step 4
Add the sugar, hoisin, soy sauce, white pepper and water stir together. Fry for a further 2 minutes, until the turkey minced is a golden brown. Turn off the heat.
- Step 5
Divide the turkey mince between the baby gem leaves.
- Step 6
Top with spring onions, sesame seeds, chilli flakes and finish with a drizzle of chilli sauce before serving.
